"It wasn't easy," Marcus agrees with a faint, humourless smile. It hadn't been all that long until Angela had been able to tell him otherwise, but for several weeks he'd wondered and worried about all the them, including himself. Maybe he was alive here in Darrow, but he thought he ought to be dead back in Chicago with the way he was bleeding. It had helped, having Angela tell him things had worked out in the end.

There was trauma, but there always is with possession, and at least everyone was safe.
