"I can't say I understand any of it, but she has," Kat confirms, nodding. "Though it probably doesn't help that they're giving me the good stuff." She gestures up absently towards the IV, whatever painkiller they're providing just enough for her to feel the equivalent of slightly buzzed, like she would after a glass or two of champagne but without the pleasant part. There's far too much weighing on her for that. There would have been even if she hadn't suddenly and inexplicably found herself in what is, apparently, an entirely different world than the one she was just in.
It's insane, is what it is. The longer she's here, though, the easier it is to believe that it's actually happening, however little sense that makes.
